WHAT IS THE SIP MODULE?

The SIP module is a building material made of EPS, XPS or PUR insulating material glued between two OSB boards with a special adhesive. Our manufacturing partner uses the German EGGER company’s OSB Top 4 building boards, which is the most modern board on the market.

With its formaldehyde-free and environmentally-friendly glues, it does not harm the health and satisfies all the international ratings. The SIP modules can be used to build a complete house, from panels and I-OSB beams of different thicknesses from floor to roof, and they are suitable to construct any part of the building.

Due to their extremely good thermal insulation and structural properties, much narrower wall structures are needed, so the families have more useful floor space in our houses. In addition, with a 30 cm outer wall thickness, we achieve thermal insulation values which meet the limits of a passive house.

SIP TECHNOLOGY

 

The SIP (Structured Insulated Panel) is a unique, extremely stable and environmentally friendly construction system for buildings with low energy consumption, as well as for passive buildings. In line with the sandwich structure, XPS, EPS, or PUR fillings are put among the OSB construction boards, which are glued with a special fireproof adhesive.

With this simple solution, we receive building blocks with excellent structural and thermal insulation properties, without thermal bridge.
Our manufacturing partner uses the OSB TOP 4 boards of the German EGGER company, which is guaranteed to be formaldehyde-free and have water repellent properties.

The panels are cut to size according to the design documentation produced in CAD system, so no waste material is generated during the construction the disposal of which would be expensive for the customer. Due to the exceptional stability of the self-supporting SIP modules, the buildings do not require a separate frame structure, so a SIP house can be built very quickly.


The SIP construction system can be used to build detached houses and condominiums, administrative buildings, production and industrial halls, schools, recreational buildings and garages. As the SIP-modular construction system is an ideal solution for rebuilding and extension jobs of existing buildings, it can be used in combination with other construction technologies as well.

Solar energy

The point of the solar heating is that using the extraordinary thermal insulating features of the SIP houses, an infrared heating film is installed. This can be installed into the floor, under any cover, into the wall, under plasterboard or on the ceiling, again under plasterboard.

Due to the excellent thermal insulation properties of the SIP, little energy is needed for heating, which, in our case, can be generated with solar panels free of charge. According to the provisions of the Energy Act of 2008, the electricity service provider is obliged to receive the electricity produced by private individuals with solar panels. This power can be bought back from the electricity service provider at any time within one year, at the same price.

Solar energy in practice

So, in practice, we can buy back in winter the electricity produced in the summer and charged into the electricity network, so the heating will be free of charge from the energy supplied to the electricity company’s system during the summer.

The charged and used quantities are recorded by a meter which measures in both directions, and is installed by the electricity company when the solar system is started, free of charge.

The heating energy needs of the buildings can be designed accurately, and such energy calculations are compulsory, because otherwise the owner does not get a housing permit. From these calculations, we know exactly how large solar panel system needs to be installed in order to produce the total heating energy demand, as well as the hot water demand.

That is why we can guarantee in writing and in good conscience that the calculated solar panel system will satisfy the heating needs of the house.

Automatic ventilation system

In our excellently insulated buildings, the ventilation is provided by a decentralized heat exchanging automatic ventilation system. Full air exchange throughout the house, fresh air continuously, winter-summer mode, with automatic or manual control. The heating can be controlled in each room individually, but even a smart house controller can be requested for the entire building.

The costs of heating mean more than 60% of a building’s costs of maintenance. There is, however, a solution to say goodbye to the invoices for heating forever. It is true that you need to have a well-insulated building, but it is the prerequisite for all energy-saving efforts. The only task is to choose the heating system that suits your needs and the type of the building best. This can be electric floor heating or even infrared heating. FIRE RESISTANCE

The outer OSB covers of the panels are made of densely pressed pieces of wood, which are glued with refractory adhesive. With such a unique structure, it is more resistant to fire than other conventional wood materials (in accordance with EN 13501-1 in the Ds2-dO class).

The thermal insulation core of the modules, the EPS-80 polystyrene is tested for the reaction to fire, and is classified in accordance with MSZ EN 13501. The EPS 80 boards belong to category E. The polystyrene insulated products burn only when exposed to direct open flames, however, after the combustion heat is removed, they behave in a self-extinguishing manner.

ENERGY REQUIREMENTS

In accordance with the directives of the European Union, Hungary adjusts the building energy requirements in 3 steps. This means approx. 40% more stringent requirements for the thermal insulation and energy supply of the buildings. The construction of the traditional brick buildings will become more expensive. The following information is only a guide.

The building structures and building energy systems we are distributing meet the most stringent requirements which will be introduced in 2020.

The heat transmission limits of façade limiting structures:

The U value prescribed from 1st January, 2018: 0.24 W / m²K
The U value prescribed from 1st January, 2020: 0.20 W / m²K

From 2020, stricter requirements will be introduced, and one of the most important ones are e.g. the use of renewable energies in min. 25% proportion (i.e., solar panels or solar collectors should be installed on the buildings), and a heat recovery ventilation equipment should also be installed to ensure proper air exchange and dehumidification. With all this, the building will receive “only” BB category rating.

For the AA or better rating, we will need temperature control per room and detailed energy calculations. The standard features of the SIP houses include a wall structure with 0.15 W / m²K U value, 100% solar energy powered free heating, temperature control per room and a ventilation system with 98% heat recovery capacity.

The buildings are now guaranteed to receive the AA ++ rating!
